Hawaii is one of the only states with Judo as an interscholastic sport in high school!
The Oahu Interschoolastic Association (OIA), comprised of Oahu's public schools, has sponsored competitive high school judo since 1972. The ILH, comprised of Oahu's private schools, as well as the schools on the Big Island, have just this year begun their Judo interscholastic program. We hope to see this increase the popularity of Judo and the number of Judo practitioners in Hawaii.
